I'd start with the basic function of an internal combustion engine, focusing on

the intake, compression, power, and exhaust strokes and the difference between four stroke and two stroke engines. I'd then move into the difference between carburetors and EFI and...on second thought. Nevermind. I think what you've got is pretty good.
