Amen. Buy a TV for its image quality. Make sure it has an input or two. . .

Yep, spend your money on the best quality image you can get. Then buy a $50-$100

TCL series 6 got good reviews. Not sure if there’s a newer model now

We just bought one. It's great. Probably the best bang for your buck out there. 65-in TCL for $730.

I agree with the rest of the comments. Get the TV you like and let the Roku do the smart part

Yep, there is a reason that tech has been phased out, but there still seems to be that one thing that hasn’t been

Are you saying plasma has better blacks than OLED?

Yes, the blacks were the best part of the plasma tech and they were, at the very least, on par with current OLEDs and

You literally can't get more black than oled unless you go to light capturing materials.

Plasmas also had true black.
scootsy

Don't worry about a smart TV.. get a Nice TV and ignore the 'smart' parts..

Echo the comments. Get a good 4K OLED (or at least something with HDR)

If we don't watch much TV, is it worth paying more for OLED vs regular LED?
