Then just use a Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Kodi box... etc.

My Xfinity box handles NetFlix, Amazon Prime and YouTube built-in... I have never even setup the apps built into my 'Smart TV'.

Agreed with this, we have a Roku and Chromecast. I prefer the Roku.

We just bought one. It's great. Probably the best bang for your buck out there. 65-in TCL for $730.

It doesn’t. We still have our 2012 plasma. And it’s great. But it looks gray

Yeah, plasmas may retain their color longer than oled but the picture comparison between my pioneer plasma

You literally can't get more black than oled unless you go to light capturing materials.

Not really. Because the cells have to be precharged to have adequate response time they aren't truly black like an oled.
