She's been talking to a scammer over there for a few years now. Who knows how much money she's already sent over there (she denies she's sent anything, we don't really believe that). She sprung this trip on us last week, and we're scrambling to stop her from getting on that plane tomorrow. Reason doesn't work with her. We've explained in explicit detail the likely outcome of this trip, and she refuses to believe us. We tried getting temporary emergency guardianship this morning, but were denied.
Hoping somebody on here might have some legal tips that could help us get her passport revoked temporarily, or some other method of stopping her. (believe me, stealing her passport has occurred to us, however that's not likely to work for a couple reasons...namely, i doubt she lets any of us in her apartment, because she would know what our objective would be)
We've got an appointment with a secret service agent this afternoon who will try to talk some sense into her, since she doesn't believe us...in case that doesn't work, is there anybody on here in law that knows how to keep somebody from going on a trip that has the very real possibility of ending in abduction, or worse?
thanks
