Also I doubt if you average it out 1 out of 10 top posts are Utah related throughout the year. Yes past few days it has been Utah heavy but that is easy enough to explain: 1) BYUs season has been over for a week 2) Utah played 2 days ago 3) #11 Utah lost by FOUR touchdowns to an unranked mediocre Texas team with their best team ever(according to many). With all that it seems reasonable that Utes have been the topic de jure for a few days now, it was a big upset, they are our rival, and our season has been over.

Although I don't think CB as a whole is obsessed as you say, I do wish ute talk was less. I am fine talking about a Ute loss, Ute smack, or Ute related things to BYU but there is too much general Ute information on CB, sadly often posted by actual utes but we have not reached obsession levels as a whole yet.
