Hated Titanic. A soul-less move with great special effects . . .
for the time that got way too much love at the Academy Awards. Changed my perception of the Academy's benchmark for a "best picture" movie and have never felt the same or had the same respect for the Oscars since.
A big budget Lifetime Channel movie wrapped into an epic historical event sprinkled with all the amorality and contrived emotion of anything ever directed by James Cameron despite a pretty decent cast.
