Biggest question on the 1st team: Anthony Davis or Nikola Jokic. I chose Jokic because he has been able to get one of the most injury laden teams just a couple of games behind the Lakers at the break. Davis has been very good but is the 2nd best player on his own team. I think the national media would probably vote Davis in part because he is in a bigger market.
If Lillard continues to light it up he could look to take a spot on the 1st team, but right now he is clearly behind Doncic and Harden imo. Lebron and Antetokounmpo are locks and the leaders right now in the MVP race. Harden is also currently a lock with his incredible numbers (yes, I hate Harden too).
Biggest Omissions: Well there are quite a few guys that are missing here that I think are having terrific seasons. Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo and Karl Anthony Towns are all excellent players that I think fall behind the first 3 centers (yes I consider Davis a center even though he often plays the 4). Lots of great guards and small forwards with Donovan Mitchell being at the top of the list with guys like Beal, Young, Booker, Lowry, VanVleet, Walker, Brown, Westbrook, Morant etc, etc. I think the national media would put Westbrook on, but Paul and Middleton have certainly done more to help their teams win in my opinion. Middleton is more SF than G, but I felt this got me the players I wanted on the different teams.
