So we think 2.2 million it too many. What number is OK and when will we know
we are on target to hit that number?
More importantly, what can we do create more certainty about a return to normal economic conditions as that number becomes realizable.

Yet 80,000 people still die and we as a society accept that. Sad. But true.

I think it goes to show that the government is expecting far more

I'm not sure that is true. I think if politicians tried to say 80k is acceptable

Again if you look at the timeline we reacted right after Imperial

How many people would have died if we didn’t do this social distancing thing? That’s the number we need to compare to

I don't know what the number is. It is at least 80k. But we should be

Agreed. I hope we don’t bail out big businesses. 0-interest loans maybe. I hope the only people bailed out are small

Tough conversation to have as a republican/conservative given abortion

Also undermines an anti-euthanasia stance, especially for older people.

Not really. Electing to actively end the life of another human verse allowing nature to run its course is not close to

The philosophy on this is not nearly as settled as you are proclaiming.

I'm not saying the debate over how much we should do to save lives is settled, but conflating abortion verse

There is no persuasion in the abortion debate. It’s a fool’s errand
