Spain has 2,800 deaths so far, with ~39k cases reported
US has 616 deaths so far, with ~49k cases reported
Is it safe to say that the variability is due to how a country determines what constitutes a death by Corona virus? There was that article recently about how Italy counts the deaths, which seems more inclusive than other countries. Or is this just aging population again, or poor medical availability, or are we X days behind Spain?
Seems reported numbers are all over the map, and hard to know if everyone is using the same standards for testing and counting deaths.
