dude was from Ecuador and had a young family, not unlike me. Obviously we were almost the same age and he is easily the closest I've been to being affected directly by the pandemic.
When we served together, he'd get these incredible migraines that would end up causing physical pain all over his body. I don't know if he had any existing health conditions since we haven't stayed in close contact but I can't imagine what this must be like for his family. Anyways, we talk a lot about numbers of deaths and number of infected, but it was a helpful reminder to me that there are names, stories and people behind each one.
here's hoping recent rumors of declining growth rates continue.
