Put a meter reader on the ends of the Thermostat
if both are good, then not the thermostat.
Put a meter reader on one end of the thermostat wire to the unit, other on the thermostat side.

didn't add it but that the first thing i did. The capacitor was fine.

Dumb question, but did you check the circuit breaker? Both the one by the outside unit and all of the ones in your
