Her length was not good, though, nor were her shoulders or back. Despite the hops, she was not the sort of 5'10 player who was gonna surprise you by playing large at the net--like a 5'10 Lyndey Haddock did, for instance. She was also very limited with what she could do with a poorly placed set. Given those limitations at the net, it was necessary for her to have solid back row skills for her to play a key role at the level Heather wants to achieve. I think Heather had hoped to develop her in that regard, but she was clearly too much of a project as a back row player.
And yet for some odd reason Heather stuck w her in the back row the entire season. Honestly, it made no sense. To see the girl now transferring does make me wonder if some politics weren't involved w last season.
At BYU's desired level of play Madi Robinson should be a reserve OH at best. It's likely the role she'll play at yewtah.
