other sports allow a one-time transfer without penalty. its just men's football
and basketball that require the transferring player/student to sit a year.
2 years ago when BYU women made it to final four, I remember seeing a spotlight on TV about one of the key players for Nebraska having played the previous season (her freshman season) at Texas.
