Playing P5's while not being a P5 is just not a smart move at all for your program and your players... and even coaches. We don't have the same resources, we don't have anywhere close to the same recruiting pool... 2 or 3 a year is more than sufficient to know what you have in our program... playing more than that is unnecessary and just unreasonable.
You have to also remember what holds our program back, that would still be an issue if we joined a P5 conference. 2 or 3 P5's a year is more than a enough for our program and where it's at right now. Joining the AAC would be a significate boost to our program as well, over Independence.
