We basically spent some money on a GI specialist to ultimately get it cleaned out using some type of laxative, and then started him on a regimen of Miralax.

We transitioned from Miralax to prune juice or (better) pear juice. We prefer that over medicating with Miralax.

I've been there. Godspeed.

I’d talk with his pediatrician soon. Definitely sounds like encopresis.
