Yep. It always boggled my mind when I was there and they'd tell me how great
their healthcare system was. I'd point out how long it usually took to get care, and the absurd amounts of time it took to get to see a specialist. They'd almost universally say "well if I need anything serious done I'll just fly to the States and pay out of pocket there". I knew a guy who broke his arm, couldn't get in for an x-ray for weeks. Finally did and it was already healing improperly so he had to get it rebroken and set. Except they did it wrong, so he had to have the procedure done again. This is just one anecdote - I personally knew quite a few others in similar situations.

Socialized healthcare is bad, always.
