I think this depends on the age of the athlete and the sport. If they're younger like Junior High age
I send my kids to camp so they can compete with others for the entire week in junior high. High School age kids have different priorities

Also imo don’t waste a week at a camp. Do 1-2 days, so you can hit other camps
