The notion that you can have any drinks AT ALL and drive is the problem.

I am not saying we should amend all state laws to make BAL above .01 illegal. My point is that there is social acceptability for .07, when that is still impaired. We should, as a society, not glorify drinking the way that we do. Even a slightly impaired driver is worse than a fully-alert driver.
