Mormons as a whole are still waaay too sensitive about religious criticism. And we tend to hate it quite a bit more when it comes from fellow Christians. Too many of us are apprehensive about the Big12 for this reason. Our problem, really.

We'll get over it the longer we're in. Even for those of us with concerns that way, though — I think those things are swallowed up by the gratitude & excitement of being fully legitimate in the college ranks — & of being challenged by regular competition worthy of our programs.

I've for years wanted the Big12 over the Pac, hands down. And the fact the two kingpin schools are gone only makes it better, imo. We'll be wide open to forming an entirely new conference identity. Frankly, I'm excited for each of the other new additions, too. I think they were all great choices.

I think we'll make some solid rivals soon enough.
