Nike tried to destroy us. There’s no other explanation. The late 90s change was amazingly bad branding. So ugly. It took
Bronco Mendenhall standing up to Nike to get us back. It has taken decades to shed the ugly tan from our branding.
What was Nike thinking? What was BYU thinking in signing off on it?
