I feel like I hear people talk about Messi winning a World Cup to cement his

legacy or something like that. Why don’t you hear the same thing about Christiano Ronaldo?

Is it because Ronaldo has won in Europe and that’s sufficient? Or have Argentina just had much higher expectations than Portugal the last ~15 years? Or do people not really say this and I’m making it up?
