I have no problem being nice and just saying "no thanks," regardless of them

ignoring the sign (which I long ago learned doesn't work at all). The only time I have a problem is when I say no thanks and then they think that's a sign to try harder. That's when I turn into a "get off my porch" type of guy. In reality, I'd be completely justified in reporting them to the city for violating ordinances, but I still haven't gone that far yet.
