However, if it is true that his discord had a part in messing with Pope’s livelihood, and all of the assistant coaches and players who are very much impacted by issues like this, then I believe there should be an accounting. At the least I would like to hear what he brings to the table and if there is a spat here, how does his value overshadow the value Pope was bringing to the program. If that’s what has happened, then at the least there should be some explanation to the fans. It isn’t the first time that it’s been reported that Santiago makes some things more difficult than needs to be in the administration. He seems to get by by not being accountable to the average fan of the program, so I don’t mind pushing the issue and giving him a chance or a demand that he start providing a little more to offset damage to the program. If he’s all that awesome then it shouldn’t be that hard to win people over. I’m not that hard to win over. As of yet, I just haven’t seen it, though.
