I agree w/ gustav that his writing is "suspect." Heck I'd even say it's crap in his last several films. However, Shyamalan is the full package. You aren't going to get a film that he didn't at least help write. After Earth is no exception, although he's only one of a string of writers on this script, a smart move by the studios.
