Nope. Not sure what hill you were living under, but I lived in both
Virgnia and Washington State during Jimmermania, and it was a big deal. You could count on people calling out "Jimmer!" if you wore a BYU shirt.
Jimmer swept all 6 major awards, and all the small ones as well. As ESPN put it during the June 2011 draft, "It's not often that the tenth drafted player is the most talked about player in a draft."
We know you are pining for the days of 1998, but denying that the consensus POY, who, coincidentally, had a new basketball phrase ("Jimmer range") used commonly that season because of said players stardom is just ridiculous.
Clearly, you take pride in being the token Ute that lives outside of West Valley, but don't overplay your hand. Keep in mind that most of the BYU fanbase lives outside of Utah. Unlike Ute fans, we won't be fooled by your tales of the "outside world," and what it's really like.
