Driving to Utah thru Nevada, my wife gets pulled over for 85 in a 75. The ticket
says to look at the back of the citation to see how much the violation will cost, but the officer wrote "court" as the violation code on the front of the ticket, which means "contact the court" to find out how much the fine is. It also says to allow 30 days before contacting the court. I've looked online and can't find much help except for a few dozen law firms that say they'll help fight the ticket for you. I'm not use to this. Anyone here know what this all means? How much will the fine be for exceeding the speed limit by 10 miles? The last and only time I received a ticket in Nevada, it was for speeding, but it was marked as a non-moving violation and cost me $5.00. The officer told me they wanted tourists to remember their Vegas experience as a good one. Apparently, they've gotten meaner over the years..
