A little job hunting advice - resources
Read a book - "People hire people not resumes" by Frank Danzo. Excellent book on how you effectively network. Probably won't find it in the library, but you should be able to buy it online. I was out networking while out of work and wasted time and some contacts because I hadn't read this book.

Another book - getting a little aged, "Rites of Passage" by John Lucht - it is getting a little dated, but if you ever use a recruiter, this book has a lot of good info on how to swim those waters. It was written about 15 years ago, so it has some dated material (pre linkedin, etc), but if you are anywhere near executive level and a law firm type guy using a recruiter, it will be useful. Warning the 1st 1/3 of the book is painfully boring to read, but I think it is worth the effort. You might find this in the library.

My brother worked for Bryan Cave for a while in SoCal and graduated from UVA - Lawyer world is a little different than my world, but good luck to you. I was out of work for nine months when my company moved and I didn't move with them (it was a bad job).
