You may be right, but I could only find information about 7 on that particular blog. Although I'm sure they had a walk-through on Friday before the game. Also, USC's finals ended two days earlier than BYU's so there's that. But BYU's bowl was 6 days later, albeit straddling Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Ultimately, I don't care. I'd love to see the team get more work in if the coaches think it's beneficial. While practice makes perfect there are downsides as well which have been well stated on this forum already. Bronco may have his flaws but I'm not convinced that there are any better options out there. I would just like to see people quit using less than factual information in their comparison between other programs and BYU.

Right or wrong, Bronco is a big believer in consistency. So far his bowl prep model has produced fairly positive results. If he loses this year maybe he'll be forced to tweak it to squeeze out a little more practice. But the bottom line remains BYU typically has an earlier bowl game and finals that end later than many of the other programs that some folks are comparing them too. Without cutting into finals week, it may be hard to squeeze out extra practices.
