One thing people don't realize is that most of the space in the gut that could be occupied by 'good' bacteria, is already taken. It's hogwash to think that by taking a pill that contains some so called 'good' bacteria, that suddenly you'll have the correct balance. There are trillions of bacteria in the gut, that are constantly replicating and being pooped out. Finally, no one really knows what a 'balanced' gut flora should be in the first place. So by making up a proprietary blend of microorganisms, and put it in a pill and market it as something to give you balanced flora, they inadvertently display their complete and utter ignorance.
