I strongly considered getting season tickets this year but decided for Plan B.
I live in St. George and usually go up to 2-3 games a year. Last year I went to 2 home games and the ND game. I found that going to an away game was much more enjoyable.

What I plan on doing (which has been approved by the wife) is taking my son(s) to 1 away game per year and dropping the season ticket idea. Going to Notre Dame was awesome. I enjoyed pretty much everything about it besides the cold and the loss. Every year I am going to pick an away game that would be fun to experience.

This year I am going to try and make it to Texas.
Next year: Nebraska or Michigan
2016: Cincinnati
2017: East Carolina
2018: Wisconsin

A yearly trip to those games > the money spent to get season tickets.

I'll still go to fun home games, but don't want to waste my time or money staying home because I don't want to spend a weekend watching a crappy or boring opponent.
