But if you were ok paying a little more I would look at the HTC M8, Samsung S5, or LG G3. If you can wait a a few months the Moto X+1 will be an excellent pickup too.

All of these are really good so can't really go wrong. The HTC phones have the best speakers. The Samsung S5 has the slightly better camera. The LG G3 has the best resolution. But if you want to spend less the G2 is a great buy. I really like the "knock on" feature. LG and Motorola have done great jobs in providing basic features that help with your everyday use of the phone.
