DVDfab ripping is free, but then I use handbrake to convert it to a smaller
format. IOW, you can take the files off of the DVD and save them in raw format (Audio/Video folders), then use handbrake to convert that into a smaller format (e.g., h.264).

Is it still free? I know it used to be but I thought it was paid now.
