While there are elements of the honor code that could use some tweaking,
I think Bronco deserves the benefit of the doubt after what we read in those KVN pieces. More often than not, it's my understanding that athletes are given a fair amount of leeway, within reason and wherever possible. This is a big reason the university has changed how they handle announcements of suspensions and violations.

The bottom line is that players know the rules before they even agree to play at BYU and there are constant reminders and additional team rules once they get here. If players aren't playing on any given day, the accountability lies with them, not the head coach.
