If you buy pornography you are supporting pornographers with your money. If you use drugs you are supporting cartels. But that does NOT mean that you like them, agree with them and don't wish they could be eradicated, you are just weak like everyone else in the world is about something.

The desire to stop helping these people can be a great motivator to stop using their products. Remember there are two different meanings of "supporting" being used here.
