Use a paper towel to grip it and rip it off.

Let it sit a while. It's hard to get the membrane off when the meat is cold.

Slide a butter knife under the membrane on one side of the ribs.

Slide a spoon in there and grab it with a paper towel. It's very easy

Not really necessary. I have cut the membrane off of ribs once and cooked
