I guess I have said this, but from the North End Zone you could see Preator
actually hit the guy with his body well before the ball got there.

4 of them could have been no calls. The PoVey one was PI for sure.

Jordan Johnson's in the end zone isn't really arguable imo

I thought JJ's was the best D of the group. Both players were touching, he got
jkccoug
9/23/14 4:35pm
Never mind, I think the back arm was hooked around him. Good call.
jkccoug
9/23/14 4:37pm
It was good until the WR beat him with a good step and he grabbed to compensate.

9/23/14 4:39pm
Yep. JJ had great coverage, then the ball was underthrown and the receiver made

At least 4 of 5 are PI's. That last one on Preator is really questionable. I'm
ol' Blue Eyes
9/23/14 4:26pm
The only one of those that gets called PI in the SEC is the one on Povey, and
FierceArc
9/23/14 10:39pm
Why the PI call on PoVey isntead of holding?
BGRTHNUMEGO
9/23/14 4:27pm
Ball was in the air
lawboy
9/23/14 4:28pm
Because they believe it was catchable and in the vacinity
RyneK
9/23/14 4:28pm
No way, he's right. Only 1 and 5 were any bit questionable.

Love the extra with Bronco chewing that ref hiney about number 19 on #5
BarraCouga
9/23/14 4:25pm
how did 19 NOT get a flag on that wow!
kotacoug
9/23/14 4:30pm
Right in front of the official too.
whoneedscorners?
9/23/14 4:34pm
Egregious unsportsmanlike, and he would not quit. Horrible no call.

Hadn't seen the game, thanks for the tip...LOVE the chewing out

Good to see Bronco getting at the ref.

2 and 3 are PI.

A couple of those you see let go all the time.
BarraCouga
9/23/14 4:28pm
my problem wasn't so much with the PIs that were called, but with those
cedar cougar

Only one of those is a maybe: #5, Jordan Praetor's.
byujacob
9/23/14 4:27pm
In the stadium from my seat you could see that he hit the WR in the back b4
jkccoug
9/23/14 4:33pm
Did the crowd really think a majority of them were wrong?
southernfriedcougar
9/23/14 4:28pm
I think the crowd's reaction was mostly to the non calls against UVA
TrueAndBlue
9/23/14 4:35pm
A minority where I was sitting.
JAGA97
9/23/14 4:55pm
Is Howell saying Daniel wouldn't have gotten flagged if he'd turned his head?
BGRTHNUMEGO
9/23/14 4:28pm
Seems like it. Almost none of our DBs turned around to make a play on the ball
byujacob
9/23/14 4:30pm
But is that consistent with the rule in college?
BGRTHNUMEGO
9/23/14 4:31pm
It's not. That's only a rule in the NFL. They still call it every time
whoneedscorners?
9/23/14 4:33pm
Usually refs will overlook a lot more contact if the DB is looking back for the
dilbert
9/23/14 4:31pm
Re #1. He doesn't turn around but the contact is minimal. In fact, the ball hits

Thanks. This is good stuff.

Johnson's whole arm was around the receiver and it affected his movement.
flavordave
9/23/14 4:33pm
I didn't notice that but I think you're right. Backside arm hooked him
jkccoug
9/23/14 4:37pm
That said, he probably prevented a touchdown.
flavordave
9/23/14 4:56pm
Preator's call was ridiculous. And comparing the refs reaction to #19 jawing
TrueAndBlue
9/23/14 4:31pm
And Bronco agrees.
TrueAndBlue
9/23/14 4:31pm
or comparing the ref ignoring #19 and then making a mad dash to Bronco to
kotacoug
9/23/14 4:33pm
I guess I have said this, but from the North End Zone you could see Preator
jkccoug
9/23/14 4:38pm
From my North End Zone seat it sure looked like
gwalker
9/23/14 4:43pm
Preator was playing the ball for sure.

9/23/14 4:51pm
I too was in the North End Zone. Clearly Preator got their early.

The dude sounded pissed off the entire interview

9/23/14 4:33pm
Bronco was pissed after the game too. I like it. That's the only way they'll get
whoneedscorners?
9/23/14 4:35pm
You should sound pissed when are 2-3 more performances like that away from
nhatch82
9/23/14 4:56pm
Those were all pass interference. I don't know why everyone's up in arms about
SoCalCoug
9/23/14 4:56pm
The problem is the refs inconsistencies. Sure, at least 1-4 (I'd argue about 5
cougfromcali

being a CB is the hardest position to play. the game is set up in the WR

Why would you throw some of your players under the bus and then defend
BostonCougar
9/23/14 6:49pm
I guess you see what you're looking for.
BarraCouga
9/23/14 7:28pm
On the contrary, I think it's refreshing and transparent leadership
LBCougar
9/23/14 8:01pm
I had the perfect view of Preator's PI and the refs got it right. From my seat
