I think BYU offered their
top choice in Witt, he turned them down, and their next best alternative was Bronco. Which illustrates my point - there are not a lot of great alternatives/candidates that want to coach at BYU. Witt is LDS, played at BYU, and still didn't want the HC job. That means alternatives are fairly difficult to come by.
