I think people are up n Bronco's grill over the wrong things. His comments were all fine. And really, who cares about coach speak?
The issue is that he took too long to step in--again. He might have given the DC job to thwe wrong guy--again. Repeated mistakes in judgment. He mentioned some concerns about USU game postgame that he was worried about the team during game week, but did nothing. I'm sure he adjusted that with UCF prep, but still lose. Nevada--the same. So Bronco deserves heat for his decisions with respect to his program.
The main reason coaches do not get hammered in the press by other coaches is professional courtesy, and if guys leave BYU, they need to find jobs to provide for families. It is an industry thing. It's not just a BYU thing.
As to players, they need to be willing to take some heat. They got hit as a team from Bronco and not anyone individually. Of course, some guys just got demoted as well. So lets see how they respond. But players are not performing on D. Whether bronco says it or not, they just aren't.
