You seem like a typical BYU guy. Here are a few thoughts/questions:
1) Are you suggesting the difference between Harvard and BYU is similar to that of BYU and USU? Really? Because your argument doesn't work unless you assume similar disparities. Here's the truth: there are very few advantages that a degree from BYU would grant me vs. a degree from USU. Oh, and there are also disadvantages to having a degree from BYU, but I won't even attempt to explain those to you.
2) I would much rather live in Logan and associate with USU students/grads than live in Provo and associate with BYU students/grads. There are definitely exceptions to that rule, as with any rule. But the assertion still holds for me and many others. And it has nothing to do with church belief, etc. - I'm still a card carrying, stand-sitting member. I just prefer to surround myself with people who are a bit less self-absorbed. Flame away.
3) You want a measurable, objective criteria to show USU's superiority over BYU? How about 35-20?
