Parenting/Gun safety question.I have an AR-15 in my bedroom closet on the top
shelf. It is unloaded but on the same shelf are a couple of loaded magazines. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy that is starting to get big enough that I am wondering when I need to figure something else out as far as keeping it out of reach. As of right now, for some kind of accident to happen he would have to somehow drag something into my bedroom that would allow him to reach the top shelf ( Which I don't think is possible at his current height) . Grab my rifle, insert a magazine, rack the charging handle, and then pull the trigger. I am not worried about this happening yet, but my wife is getting more antsy about not having it locked up. What age have your kids been when you started locking up guns?
