Coaches have 2 jobs: 1) recruit well, and 2) coach players up.
If there is an issue with the team, it tends to go back to 1 or 2 of those things.

There is no free agency market to go sign guys mid year if issues pop up, so you're stuck with what you recruited until next year. Next class, they can go after some JC guys to help plug some holes for 2015 if they think incoming freshmen, RMs, and another year for players in the program can't fill those holes.

Point being, the personnel they have is the personnel they recruited to come to BYU. If they missed on guys, it was their evals that missed. So it basically goes back on them and how they built the program.

Tough, but fair.
