Like I said in response to your post below, we can probably best define
companies as job creators, and consumers as job sustainers. It is difficult to truly separate the two forces from each other - and while you highlight new product categories as examples of job creation purely by companies (and justly so), the majority of the economy is based on proven product categories, which respond much more closely to consumer demands.
