Until he proves that he can't play as well as he did all last year at SG. Winder didn't get major minutes until late in the season but finished with an offensive efficiency rating of 131, which is exceptional and second among WCC players for the year.
He plays the most mistake free ball and has the best shot judgement on the team. Some here say he is not aggressive enough on offense. i don't agree. Given that he is third option, he is just right. He will pass up a shot if he is not comfortable, which is a big part of why he is so efficient.
And that doesn't consider that his defense is better than most of his teammates.
My view is Winder deserves the start in every way, especially if Rose is serious about putting a light on the seniors. But Anson has proven he will be less likely to feel persecuted if he doesn't start and Fischer thinks he is the best player on the team. It may just be easier socially to start Fischer.
Fischer will be good; but he should have to prove he is better than Winder in the games.
