Jimmer has some amazing skills, but after watching him struggle in the NBA
I think it is time to give credit (and criticism) where due:

1. Jimmer is an amazing shooter and offensive weapon.
2. Jimmer has some major holes in his game. His defense and ball-handling are sub-par.
3. Dave Rose and Dave Rice created a fantastic system that played to Jimmer's strengths.
4. Dave Rose and Dave Rice created a fantastic system that minimized Jimmer's weaknesses.
5. Jimmer's teammates at BYU were perfect for him. Between Emery, Davies, Hartsock, and Abouo (and Cummard to some degree), Jimmer was surrounded by teammates that he meshed so well with.

The BYU coaching staff deserves credit for recognizing and playing systems that were very well suited to the personnel during Jimmer's Jr. and Sr. years. They put together a unique and fun system that maximized the player's potential.
