JJ Nwigwe, OT, 6’2″, 260-lb, Rockwall-Heath HS, Rockwall, TX: Coach Holliday’s Texas connections led BYU to offer Nwigwe in December 2014. BYU needs depth on the offensive line, and J.J. is a great candidate to provide that. Coach Mendenhall visited him at home last week and J.J. will be in Provo this weekend to get his first look at BYU. Initially under the radar, Nwigwe now holds offers from SMU, Navy, NMSU, Nevada, Kansas, and Cal. Likelihood of signing with BYU: 75% ♦ Prediction: BYU
Zach Hoyt, C, 6’5″, 275-lb, Salem HS, Salem, VA: Hoyt has been recruited by Coach Tujague and was also offered last November. BYU pulled out all the stops last week and sent Coaches Mendenhall, Anae, and Tujague to visit him at home. BYU was the first to offer Zach, but he’s another recruit getting late attention, having since received offers from Pitt and Virginia Tech. Likelihood of signing with BYU: 75% ♦ Prediction: BYU
Jacob Jimenez, OT, 6’5″, 265-lb, Pflugerville HS, Pflugerville, TX: Jimenez would be an excellent addition to the BYU offensive line. He committed to Oregon State under Coach Mike Riley in July 2014, but has not felt the same connection to the new coaching staff. Coach Mendenhall and Coach Tujague paid him a visit at home last Friday and BYU should have a good chance to flip him on Signing Day. Likelihood of signing with BYU: 85% ♦ Prediction: BYU
