RE: Reality Check Hits Home His son was 9 when BM and BYU started declining
visibly to most fans. This isn't rocket science
. Many of us have said this very thing would happen. Kids have been raised in the BM era with nothing great to draw them in. Utah has had two undefeated seasons, joined the PAC, BLOWN out ALABAMA. Gone to TWO BCS bowls.
Had multiple players drafted and signed who are playing and contributing all over the NFL for 14 year old boys favorite NFL teams. 14 year old kids know of Utah PWNING BYU and BM on the field.

THAT is what kids who are ages 7 to17 have grown up knowing. Kids who are 14 were nine when Bronco started having all sorts of major visible issues with the program.
14 year old kids know of Utah PWNING BYU and BM on the field.

During this time older more knowledgeable fans have had plenty ,rightfully so to be negative about. We want things to be more positive, but they aren't and only change is going to facilitate that.

In what world would or should fans Not be unhappy and thus not be negative about the junk that has been going on with BYU football the last five years?

The issue isn't fans are negative. The issue is BYU has allowed things to be bad long enough that your son has noticed.
