up when BYU does something good. But, let's face it, half the time BYU wins, this board is still down on the players and coaches and anyone who defends a player (from Brandon Ogletree to Sky Povey) gets labeled, in the most sarcastic way possible, as delusional or ignorant of what it takes to win in college football.
I can also understand critiquing, sometimes harshly, how a coach is performing. But I don't get the incredible tangential arguments complaining about firesides, or how-my-feelings-got-hurt-because-the-away-fans-got-praised or how family and God is first or how he likes the idea of having a program so strong that athletes want to come here, rather than having to be convinced.
I get that people are upset with losses. I get that tempers can flare. I just don't get 'fans' who go to extremes of nitpicky-ness to find fault with the program long after the sting of a loss (or a close win) should have worn off. And, frankly, those posts aren't typically 'brutally honest' at all. They're just marginally factual rants that are born out of a general dislike for specific players or coaches.
