No need to think it as the committee has said many times in the past that
BYU got a lower seed strictly due to accommodating no Sunday play.
As for the conference affiliation, I don't know that it has hurt us other than SOS. Dave Rose's teams have built a rep for making the tourney and it is starting to stick. It hasn't felt like the WCC brand has hurt our seeding. Now, losing to bad teams, otoh...
