They've been before, but it was the first time with just dad and them. I get the lane, and the guy asks me "what size shoe for your kids?" I just stood there with a dumb look on my face. "What?" My kids had left me looking for bowling balls. I looked at him with two fingers apart at a estimated distance, "about that big" and then I shortened the distance "then about that big". The guy stares at me awkwardly for about 5 seconds, and I'm standing there with my fingers still apart. So I break eye contact and tell my kids to get over here. I ask my daughter (8) her shoe size, and she says 4. I ask my younger son, and he stares at me. "I dunno dad." So I get him to take his shoe off to check.
Does anyone know their kid's shoe size? I don't think I have ever bought them clothes beside t-shirts at football games. Dads are so dumb when it comes to this stuff.
