Scoliosis on a big is usually a conversation-stopper.
But those surgeries & rehabs can go remarkably well nowadays, so who knows, really? I briefly dated a girl who was a collegiate-level tennis player (but decided to focus on school) who would absolutely kick my rear in tennis (not that I'm good--she was impressive, though). Anyways, I was shocked when she told her reason for quitting tennis was that she was training to go pro as a young teen but had that derailed when she was diagnosed with scoliosis. She had the surgery & rod insertion, got back into tennis training, but was clearly too far behind to even dream of going pro. The thought of college tennis just didn't float her boat (she went to BYU).

She was in her mid 20s when I dated her, & I would've never guessed. All I could see was a strong woman & a great athlete.
